Lauren Evans is from Maryland where she trained at Baltimore School for the Arts. She went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in 2012. As a dancer Lauren performed works by Alvin Ailey, Camille A. Brown, Francesca Harper, Stephen Petronio and Robert Battle. She also appeared as a backup dancer in Disney’s motion picture Step Up and was a company member with VON USSAR danceworks and HopeBoykinDance. After working as a professional dancer, Lauren transitioned into dance administration. Currently, Lauren works at The Ailey School as the School Scheduling Administrator where she schedules over 400 classes per week, including the 130+ faculty and musicians.
