Get to Know Nathan

Nathan Fister is from Lexington, Kentucky and found his love for dance and theatre at an early age while religiously watching the VHS of CATS in his basement. Now, as a professional theatre artist, Nathan elevates, advocates, and collaborates to bring joy and affect positive change in our world. As a performer, Nathan hopes to inspire audiences in the same way that he was inspired in his basement, dancing along to the “Jellicle Ball.” As a creative and teacher, his goal is to make sure that everyone feels safe, welcomed, seen, and heard.

Aside from his dedication to his career as theatre artist, Nathan also has a passion for activism and making sure that everyone has a voice at the table. Nathan is currently the chairperson for the Inclusivity Advisory Collective and on the Board of Directors at The Lexington Theatre Company.

Nathan's theater credits include Drury Lane: Joseph...Dreamcoat; Goodspeed Musicals: Cabaret (Swing); Radio City Christmas Spectacular; IHI Stage Around Tokyo: West Side Story; The Lexington Theatre Company: Chicago (Associate Choreo), A Chorus Line (Larry) The Music Man, Legally Blonde, & 42nd Street; Flat Rock Playhouse, The Madison Theatre & Nashville Ballet 2.
